White River Valley High School Project Graduation

White River Valley High School in Switz City is celebrated for its close-knit community and innovative educational approaches, including its signature Wolverine Enterprises LLC—a series of student-led businesses that integrate real-world skills into the high school experience. This commitment to student success extends beyond the classroom through the Project Graduation initiative.

Project Graduation is an invaluable program designed to ensure that each graduating class at White River Valley High School can celebrate their accomplishments in a safe, engaging, and memorable way. Funded through various community efforts and sponsorships, including the Nucar Cares program, this initiative provides the necessary resources to organize post-graduation events that are not only fun but also foster a sense of unity and achievement among graduates.

These events are more than just celebrations; they represent a culmination of the hard work and community spirit that define the White River Valley experience. By supporting Project Graduation, we’re investing in a tradition that honors the passage of our young adults from high school into their future endeavors, whether they’re heading to college, entering the workforce, or enlisting in the military. This program not only commemorates their achievements but also equips them with confidence and support as they step into the next chapter of their lives.

New Hampshire Veterans of Foreign Wars

The New Hampshire Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) stands as a testament to the unwavering spirit and dedication of America’s veterans. Established from the aftermath of the Spanish-American War and the Philippine Insurrection, the VFW has grown from a few small bands of veterans seeking mutual aid to an influential organization advocating for veterans’ rights and benefits. With 43 posts across New Hampshire, the VFW offers a community and support network for veterans of various conflicts, from the Persian Gulf to Kosovo and the war on terrorism.

The organization’s achievements are monumental, playing pivotal roles in establishing the Veterans Administration, crafting the GI bills of the 20th and 21st centuries, developing the national cemetery system, and securing compensation for veterans exposed to Agent Orange and those diagnosed with Gulf War Syndrome. Moreover, the VFW’s commitment extends to improving VA medical services for women veterans and supporting the construction of memorials dedicated to veterans’ sacrifices.

Beyond advocacy, the VFW and its Auxiliaries embody the spirit of volunteerism, dedicating over 8.6 million hours annually to community service. They also invest in the future, providing more than $3 million in scholarships and savings bonds to students each year. This organization not only honors the legacy of America’s veterans but actively supports and uplifts them, ensuring their sacrifices are remembered and their needs are met.
